Microsoft have just announced the latest addition to the Surface family of tablet computers. The Surface Pro 3 out-innovates its predecessor in every aspect that matters.
Dubbed as “the tablet that can replace your laptop”, the SP3 features a 12″ 2160 x 1440 display, new Intel processor selections from i3’s all the way to i7’s, a kickstand that adjusts to pretty much any angle you want, and better speakers, all while being thinner and lighter than the Surface Pro 2 before it.
Specs, details, pricing, and availability after the break!
The tablets note-taking abilities was highly emphasized during the launch event, which with the help of the redesigned stylus makes jotting down notes – written or captured – a breeze.
New Type Covers were also unveiled that are now thinner, and feature a much improved trackpad. Other little changes include the capacitive Start button, which has now moved over to the right side of the device when held in landscape, and a redesigned proprietary power connector.
The new laptop killer will be available tomorrow (May 21st), starting at $799 for the Core i3 model. Unfortunately, the highly-rumored, elusive Surface Mini was nowhere to be seen.
