Microsoft recently annoucned its first ever net loss of $492M ever since becoming a public company, which the company blames on the write-off of their acquisition of aQuantive back in 2007. Despite this, the software giant also recorded a record revenue of $18.06B. Company CEO Steve Ballmer was optimistic about how the company was doing and noted that things are bound to improve when the company launches Windows 8, Windows Phone 8, Office 2013 and Surface later this year.
